Find Your Level

Initial Assessment

When you enrol on our online GCSE Maths course, you will begin with a short Initial Assessment designed to identify the level you are currently working at. This assessment provides a quick and reliable overview of your existing maths knowledge, helping you understand your starting point before beginning your revision.

The Initial Assessment is designed to cover a range of core GCSE maths skills, allowing the system to evaluate your strengths and highlight areas that may require further development. By identifying these areas early on, the course can guide you towards the most appropriate starting topics and help you focus your revision where it will have the greatest impact.

Completing the Initial Assessment ensures that your learning journey begins in the right place. Rather than revising topics you already understand, you can spend more time improving the areas that will help you make the most progress and build confidence as you prepare for your GCSE maths exam.

Personal Learning Plan

Topic Area Knowledge Assessments

As you begin working through the online GCSE Maths course, you will complete Topic Area Knowledge Assessments for each section of the syllabus. These short assessments are designed to check your understanding of the key topics within each area of maths, helping to identify which concepts you are confident with and which may need further revision.

Your results from these assessments are then used to create a Personal Learning Plan tailored specifically to you. This plan highlights the topics where you would benefit most from additional practice and revision, allowing you to focus your time on the areas that will make the biggest difference to your overall progress.

By guiding you towards the topics that need the most attention, the Personal Learning Plan helps make your revision more efficient and structured. As you work through the course content and improve your understanding, your plan supports you in building confidence across the full GCSE maths syllabus and ensures you are well prepared for the final exam.

Personal Learning Plan
