Find Your Level

Initial Assessment

When you enrol on our online GCSE Chemistry course, you will begin with a short Initial Assessment designed to identify the level you are currently working at. This assessment provides a quick and reliable overview of your existing knowledge of chemistry, helping you understand your starting point before beginning your revision.

The Initial Assessment is designed to cover a range of core skills relevant to both the Edexcel IGCSE and AQA GCSE Chemistry specifications, allowing the system to evaluate your strengths and highlight areas that may require further development. By identifying these areas early on, the course can guide you towards the most appropriate starting topics and help you focus your revision where it will have the greatest impact.

Completing the Initial Assessment ensures that your learning journey begins in the right place. Rather than revising topics you already understand, you can spend more time improving the areas that will help you make the most progress and build confidence as you prepare for your GCSE Chemistry exam.

Personal Learning Plan

Knowledge Assessments

As you begin working through the online GCSE Chemistry course, you will complete Knowledge Assessments covering the principles of chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry and organic chemistry, as included on both the Edexcel IGCSE and AQA GCSE specifications. These short assessments are designed to check your understanding of key chemistry concepts, helping to identify which areas you are confident with and which may need further revision.

Your results from these assessments are then used to create a Personal Learning Plan tailored specifically to you. This plan highlights the topics where you would benefit most from additional practice and revision, allowing you to focus your time on the areas that will make the biggest difference to your overall progress.

By guiding you towards the topics that need the most attention, the Personal Learning Plan helps make your revision more efficient and structured, ensuring you are well prepared for your GCSE Chemistry exam, whichever specification you are sitting.

Personal Learning Plan

Put Your Practice to the Test

Each topic features a tailored test that mirrors the exam format, with questions similar to those you'll encounter in your exam. Full written solutions are provided for every test, with video solutions also available on the Edexcel IGCSE course.

Full Mock Exams

Full Mock Exams

The Pass GCSE online Chemistry course includes a variety of full mock exams that closely reflect the style and structure of the actual exams you will be taking, whether that's the Edexcel IGCSE or AQA GCSE specification.
